米国NIHの研究チームは、脳や脊髄の特定の神経細胞に高精度で遺伝子を導入できる新たなAAVベクターシステムを開発しました。興奮性・抑制性ニューロン、脳血管細胞、運動ニューロンなどを標的とし、てんかんやALS、アルツハイマー病など多様な神経疾患への応用が期待されます。この技術は、ヒト組織や動物モデルでの有効性も確認され、AIを用いて細胞型特異的なエンハンサーの特定も可能に。成果は複数の学術誌で発表され、研究者向けに提供されています。
